Introduction
We have listed
below how our NLP training courses are applicable to individuals
working in different roles within an organisation.
NLP can be learnt by anyone regardless of their educational
background. However, the people who attend our NLP for Business
courses in London and Paris have often completed graduate level
leadership development training courses, management training
courses, communication training courses, presentation training
courses and/or sales training courses.
These people are now looking for a deeper understanding of human
motivation and behaviour, so they can take the ‘next step’ in
their careers and lives.
NLP courses for Sales and Relationship
Management
The single most important factor in sales success is simply
this: does the customer like you?
Part of being liked is the body language techniques mentioned
above; these have been refined from highly effective
communicators and are taught as part of the training.
People also like to be understood and NLP training enables
someone to see and sense that they are being listened to. Being
able to listen to a customer with presence and curiosity; and
being genuinely interested in the customer’s needs makes for the
greatest connection. It is easier to be sincerely interested in
others rather than faking being interested while covertly
gaining on your own agenda. It is possible to be both sincerely
interested in others and genuinely influence them to your
product or service, if it is right for them. This is the most
effective form of salesmanship..

In recent years, NLP has become increasingly popular for
business and large organisations. For example, we have given NLP

Scotland, L’Oréal, Disney, Coca-Cola, KPMG, Saatchi and Saatchi
and Channel 4, to name just a few.
We have also provided NLP training to non-business organisations
such as the UK National Health Service, the Arts Council, the
BBC, as well as various French government departments including
Defence and Commerce.
NLP - neuro-linguistic programming - free
training introduction, NLP principles and techniques guide
This free introduction to NLP is provided by
Robert Smith MBA, a leading international practitioner in neuro-linguistic
programming and NLP Master Trainer. Neuro-Linguistic Programming
(NLP) was created in the early 1970s by Richard Bandler, a
computer scientist and Gestalt therapist, and Dr John Grinder, a
linguist and therapist. Bandler and Grinder invented a process
known as 'modelling' that enabled them to study three of the
world's greatest therapists: Dr Milton Erickson, father of
modern hypnotherapy; Fritz Perls, creator of Gestalt therapy;
and Virginia Satir, the mother of modern-day family therapy.
They wanted to know what made these therapists effective and to
train others in their methods. What is offered today as NLP is
the product of this modelling process.
Neuro-linguistic
Programming (NLP) in Business
David Molden, NLP Master Practitioner and
Trainer, is passionate, committed and successful in utilizing
NLP’s many varied tool box for business purposes.
He provides the following useful description of what NLP is:
- Neuro – how you use your nervous system to
think;
- Linguistic – how you communicate your
thoughts to others and to yourself via verbal and non-verbal
language;
- Programming – human beings are like robots
– most of the things we do each day consist of programmes
(habits) we have done before. NLP gives you the tools to
upgrade and re-programme your habits.
David realized that his early attempts in
business to train managers had little impact because he had been
focussing on changing their behaviour by using clever theories.
Most managers who came to his courses wanted to change other
people. He now knows that in order to do this they themselves
had to change – but they really didn't want to, and he didn't
have the means at that time to change their minds.
The NLP Mercedes model shows how any behaviour is accompanied by
an internal state, or emotion, and an internal thought process
of some kind. Unless the desired new behaviour can be generated
using the same internal state and thought process, no theory,
model or procedure is likely to change the behaviour. If you
want behaviour change, begin with the state, and then move on to
the thought process.
The key to taking control in all these scenarios begins with
your Internal State (IS), your beliefs and values, self-talk,
and your perception of what is possible (IP). Once your Internal
State (IS) is aligned to a successful outcome then you can begin
using a different voice and some different words. You can build
your skill on this new Internal State (IS) and Internal
Processing (IP).
NLP has tools to change, create and generally work with
emotions, or states. In addition to this a skilled Practitioner
should also be able to modify their thought process for any
given outcome. This is why it's called NLP - tools to modify
thinking (neuro), to flex communication (linguistic) and create
brand new behaviour (programming). The author has successfully
applied NLP to Time Management, Communication Skills,
Leadership, Managing People, Giving Feedback, and Coaching
Skills.
